motor inverter with enclustra modules

The world’s currently most successful Formula Student Electric team is using Enclustra modules in their motor inverters for the second season in a row. In 2018, the Zurich-based AMZ Team came out on top against more than 170 competitors, and is targeting this result again this year.

A detailed article in the Circuit Cellar magazine provides technical details about the setup and the technology used in the cars.

Enclustra wishes the AMZ Team all the best and great success on the racetrack!

FPGA Manager API updated

Jun 27, 2019

The FPGA Manager API has gotten constant improvements during the last few months. As already reported previously it is now also supplied as a NuGet package, which makes integration and updating significantly easier. The API has now also official gotten Visual Studio 2019 support as well as various bugfixes and improvements – like the possibility to connect several USB 3.0 devices at once to the same PC, even to different host controllers.

For the whole changelog check the API site. If you are under maintenance, just drop us a line and we send you the up-to-date version of your FPGA Manager.

enclustra 15 years of fpga excellence

15 years ago – on February 23, 2004 – Martin Heimlicher founded Enclustra. During the last 15 years, the one-man company developed into an international company with over 50 employees and a wide range of products and services.

At the moment more than 2500 customers in more than 65 countries rely on our modules, design services and know-how, and this number is growing. But one thing has remained constant over the last 15 years despite reaching double digits: Enclustra maintains the innovation, flexibility, spirit and charm of a startup.

Thanks to everyone we've met and worked with along the way, and here's to more success in the next 15 years.

Development started on the Mercury + XU9

mercury xu 9

Enclustra has begun work on the development of a new Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC module. The Mercury+ XU9 is designed for extremely high memory bandwidths and large data volumes. Thanks to the two 64-bit DDR4 SDRAM banks (PS & PL), the module achieves memory bandwidths of up to 40.5 Gbps. Twenty MGTs with transfer rates of up to 15 Gbps ensure the rapid transfer of data to and from the module.

In addition to 6 ARM® cores, the 74 × 54 mm modules feature a Mali 400MP2 GPU, 16 GB eMMC flash memory, USB 3.0 and 178 user I/Os. The EV variants of the Mercury+ XU9 also come equipped with a H.264/H.265 video codec.
