Overview

The FPGA Mezzanine Card (FMC) is an ANSI/VITA standard that provides a standard form factor, connectors, and modular interface to an FPGA. Decoupling the I/O interfaces from the FPGA simplifies I/O interface module design while maximizing carrier card reuse. There are two types of connectors that are mainly used as an interface from the FMC standard to an FPGA on a carrier card: a Low Pin Count (LPC) connector with 160 pins and a High Pin Count (HPC) connector with 400 pins.

Enclustra FMC Carrier Cards

Following Enclustra base and system boards contain at least one FMC connector:

• Mercury+ ST1: 1x FMC HPC
• Mercury+ PE1-200: 1x FMC LPC
• Mercury+ PE1-300: 1x FMC HPC
• Mercury+ PE1-400: 2x FMC LPC
• Mars PM3: 1x FMC LPC

Enclustra FMC Mezzanine Cards

• Enclustra FMC DR2 Drive Control Card:

  The FMC DR2 FMC addon card enables the development of high-performance drive control systems on carrier boards with a FMC connector, like the Enclustra Mars PM3, the Mercury+ PE1 or the Cosmos XZQ10. With its powerful MOSFET bridges and versatile encoder, CAN bus and GPIO ports, most applications can be built without developing custom hardware. The board is designed for Enclustra's Universal Drive IP core, but can be used with other drive controllers.
