Group Lead FPGA/SoC Hardware Engineering

In parallel, we provide leading engineering services in FPGA system design, and in development of high-speed hardware, FPGA firmware and embedded software.

To strengthen our dynamic team in Ulm, we are looking for an independent

Group Lead FPGA/SoC Hardware Engineering

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all activities of your group linked to design, development and documentation of FPGA/SoC modules, base boards, and add-on boards according to the requirements of our internal and external customers
  • Functional and disciplinary leadership of the Boardware Engineering group including prioritization and planning of the teams’ activities and backlog in coordination with Manager and other group leads
  • Track the group’s efficiency and quality of work by assisting in adjusting processes and timelines and by communicating clear expectations and providing regular feedback
  • Together with the Manager FPGA/SoC Boardware Engineering, identify headcount needs for your group including the planning and recruiting to fill these needs
  • Take responsibility for the personal development and training of your group members to ensure the skill level of your direct reports is in line with the project requirements
  • Act as a role model when it comes to our values and preferred behaviors and contribute to a high-performance oriented culture in your area of responsibility

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of leadership experience is of advantage
  • Organizational talent with several years of experience in technical development projects
  • Responsible, trustworthy, and outgoing personality with a good flair for people and their personal development
  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact across different levels and regions
  • Fluency in English and preferably German, additional languages are considered a plus
